The sustainable food sector was on the agenda when Rosina Borrelli, IFSTAL’s Workplace Engagement Lead attended the Roots to Work conference on 18 October, hosted by Capital Growth at the OXO Tower Wharf Bargehouse in London.
Surrounded by the GAIA Foundation’s We Feed the World exhibition, it was a fitting space to reflect on the place that smallholder farms have in feeding the planet. During the event, Claire Prichard, Chair of the London Food Board spoke about the many opportunities for those starting good food businesses across the capital and more broadly; see more here.

Roots to Work advertises jobs that reflect the values of Sustain, the alliance for better food and farming. They are currently advertising a new role at School Food Matters as a School Engagement Officer.
“As with so many events I now attend, I met IFSTAL participants who are either working with the host organisation or were in the audience,’ said Rosina. “It was great to bump into some familiar faces at the Bargehouse!“
